Job description
We are seeking an experienced Project Site Engineer to support large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects throughout Texas and Oklahoma. This is a field-focused engineering position supporting projects as they move from engineering and design through procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover.

Lead high-profile Mission Critical projects., The Project Site Engineer will serve as a technical liaison between the engineering team, contractors, client representatives, and other project stakeholders to help ensure design intent is successfully translated into field execution. This role is well suited for engineers coming from EPC, design-build, consulting engineering, or major construction environments who understand both the technical design process and the realities of executing complex projects in the field.Locations: Multiple project sites throughout Central, North Central, and West Texas, including the greater Waco, Abilene, Wichita Falls, and Lubbock areas.Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite engineering support throughout active data center construction
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, design packages, and contract documents
- Review and coordinate RFIs, technical submittals, and contractor questions
- Identify design conflicts, constructability concerns, field constraints, and potential engineering issues
- Evaluate field conditions and work with design teams to develop practical technical solutions
- Support design modifications and field-driven engineering changes as required
- Coordinate between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client teams
- Participate in project coordination, construction progress, and client meetings
- Monitor construction activities for alignment with engineering design intent and project requirements
- Assist with technical evaluation of equipment, materials, and installation methods
- Support troubleshooting, startup, testing, commissioning, and project turnover activities
- Track technical issues through resolution and communicate project impacts to the appropriate stakeholders
- Assist with punch lists, documentation, project closeout, and turnover activities
- Provide recommendations that consider design intent, constructability, schedule, and field conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred and may be required depending on the specific client or project
- Significant experience supporting engineering and/or construction of complex projects
- EPC, design-build, engineering consulting, or construction-phase engineering experience strongly preferred
- Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, power infrastructure, industrial facilities, utilities, advanced manufacturing, or other large-scale technical projects preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications while understanding the engineering intent behind the design
- Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, design changes, and field conditions
- Strong understanding of how engineering designs progress through procurement and into field construction
- Experience coordinating with contractors, engineering disciplines, vendors, and client representatives
- Familiarity with testing, commissioning, startup, or turnover activities is beneficial
- PE license or EIT certification preferred, but not required for all project locations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound technical judgment, and communicate effectively in an active construction environment
- Willingness to work onsite and travel to project locations as required
