Job description

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Battle Creek that are seeking skilled Embedded Systems Engineers.   • Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems in production environments.
  • Develop and maintain software for real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate new components and systems.
  • Optimize embedded code for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies., * Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP).
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
  • Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded systems.
  • Experience with vision systems or robotics integration.
