Job description
Our client is a technology consulting and delivery firm serving major US health plans. They are hiring a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead full stack .NET and Angular teams that build provider network, credentialing and directory systems on AWS. You will own engineering standards and delivery across onshore and offshore teams, and turn complex provider-domain rules into scalable solutions.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end full stack development of provider domain applications, from design to production support
- Set coding standards and design patterns for .NET/C# back end and Angular front end
- Manage and mentor Technical Leads and Senior Engineers across onshore and offshore teams
- Run sprint planning, backlog grooming and Agile delivery across concurrent workstreams
- Design .NET microservices and APIs on AWS with solution architects
- Implement HL7, FHIR R4 and X12 EDI data exchange for provider data, with HIPAA-compliant design
- Drive test automation and AI-assisted development across the team
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering, including 4+ years in technical leadership or management
- Expert .NET / C# (ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework)
- Strong Angular or AngularJS front-end experience
- Hands-on AWS: ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway
- Microservices and cloud-native application experience
- Relational database design and tuning (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- REST API design, OAuth2/OIDC and CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform)
- Experience managing onshore/offshore delivery teams
- Daily use of AI development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, * US healthcare provider domain: credentialing, network management, provider directory, contracting, rosters
- FHIR R4 Provider Directory (Da Vinci PDex Plan-Net), HL7 v2, X12 EDI (270/271, 837, 835)
- CAQH or PECOS integrations; NCQA / CMS directory compliance
- AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification
