Job description

Our client, a leading European Retail group, is running a large-scale Identity & Access Management (IAM) transformation programme spanning multiple countries and central platform teams. As Senior Enablement Coordinator & Release Train Engineer, you orchestrate the collaboration between the central IAM platform teams and the regional enablement teams across the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Czech Republic, alongside the central enterprise and HR platform functions.

This role sits on the operational and tactical layer of the programme. You own executional excellence and cross-team alignment, while the Senior Programme Manager you report into drives strategy, governance, and executive engagement. Together you form the partnership that keeps a complex, multi-country Agile programme moving., Enablement Coordination (Operational / Tactical)

  • Act as the operational and tactical link between the central platform teams and the regional enablement units.
  • Oversee the definition and validation of work packages and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and manage cross-team and cross-regional dependencies.
  • Track progress in Jira and Confluence, escalate risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Deliver structured progress reports and milestone summaries for data-driven steering.
  • Organise quarterly and ad-hoc planning sessions with enablement leads and programme management.
  • Collaborate with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to embed governance practices.
  • Prepare decision-support materials for the Senior Programme Manager and programme governance boards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting structures, enablement processes, and delivery consistency.
  • Set up and coordinate weekly alignment meetings with the enablement teams, and maintain local trackers on progress and impediments.

Release Train Engineer (Agile - Operational / Tactical)

  • Facilitate all ART-level ceremonies: PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Ensure cadence and synchronisation across all enablement and product teams.
  • Remove impediments and manage risks at train level in coordination with enablement leads and programme managers.
  • Maintain a clear release calendar and roadmap aligned to IAM transformation objectives.
  • Enable transparent reporting via Jira, Confluence, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Enablement Coordinators to strengthen agile maturity.
  • Embed retrospectives and lessons learned into the operating model to foster relentless improvement.
  • Act as the bridge between central IAM platform leadership and regional enablement teams, translating strategic objectives into executable increments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SAFe?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Organisational Change, or a related field.

  • 5+ years in programme coordination, project enablement, or release train leadership in complex IT environments.
  • Deep understanding of IAM: identity lifecycle, RBAC, PAM, SSO, MFA, and certificate management.
  • Proven experience in SAFe Agile environments with RTE / Agile Programme Management exposure.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks (PMO / TMO) and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on expertise with Jira, Confluence, MS Project / Planner, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience in international, matrixed organisations with complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, written and verbal.
  • Valid EU work authorisation.

The following are a plus:

  • SAFe certification (RTE, SPC, SA, or PO/PM).
  • IAM or cybersecurity certifications (CISM, CISSP, SC-300).

You bring a highly structured, organised approach, a servant-leader style with strong facilitation and coaching skills, and the communication range to operate across multicultural, cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. You are analytical, proactive, and result-oriented.
