Managed Services Support Technician

Illini Tech Services is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Remote Support Technician to join our growing team.

This role supports a wide variety of business clients by resolving technical issues, troubleshooting workstations and cloud services, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has experience in an MSP environment or supporting multiple organizations, enjoys solving technical problems, and can work independently while collaborating with teammates when needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a professional and timely manner
• Provide remote support for Windows workstations and laptops
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
• Configure and support email accounts, MFA, and security settings
• Assist with user onboarding and offboarding
• Diagnose workstation, printing, and connectivity issues
• Perform hardware deployments and workstation setups
• Support antivirus, endpoint security, and monitoring tools
• Escalate complex server, network, cybersecurity, and cloud issues as appropriate
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions within the ticketing system, * VPNs
• Wireless troubleshooting
• DNS
• DHCP
• Firewalls
• Network printers

• 2+ years of IT support experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP)
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MSP experience strongly preferred
• Associate degree in Information Technology or related field
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• Microsoft certifications

• Experience with: *
