Modern Workplace Developer

• The Exchange Online Administrator / Service Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, security, optimization, and operational support of Microsoft Exchange Online within the Microsoft 365 environment.
• The role requires strong hands-on experience in Exchange Online service engineering, including tenant-level configuration, mail flow, security controls, identity integration, migrations, troubleshooting, automation, and implementation of security projects across the Exchange Online platform.
• The resource will work closely with Microsoft 365, Identity & Access Management, Security, Compliance, Network, and Infrastructure teams to ensure a secure, highly available, and well-governed messaging environment., * Design, implement, configure, and administer Microsoft Exchange Online services.
• Provide L3/SME-level service engineering for Exchange Online issues, incidents, and complex service requests.
• Manage Exchange Online configuration, including: Mail flow and transport rules, Connectors, Accepted domains, Remote domains, Distribution groups and shared mailboxes, Resource mailboxes, Retention and mailbox policies, Exchange Online permissions and delegation, Anti-spam and anti-phishing controls, Microsoft Defender for Office 365 integration, Safe Links and Safe Attachments, Impersonation and spoofing protection, Mail flow security, Authentication and modern authentication controls, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
• Lead or participate in security implementation projects related to Exchange Online and Microsoft 365.
• Troubleshot complex mail-flow, authentication, delivery, and Exchange Online service issues.
• Monitor Exchange Online service health, message flow, security events, and operational performance.
• Work with Microsoft support on complex service incidents and product-related issues.
• Develop operational procedures, technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in change management, implementation planning, testing, and production deployment.
• Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls in partnership with security and compliance teams.
• Support governance and lifecycle management for Exchange Online services.

• Experience with Microsoft Purview is preferred, particularly: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection / Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies and Retention Labels, eDiscovery, Audit and Compliance Investigations, Compliance Portal Administration, DLP Policy Design, Implementation, Testing, and Troubleshooting
