Job description

This role leads the design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions that support business objectives and technology strategy. The position applies advanced technical expertise to evaluate requirements, architect solutions, and drive software quality across the development lifecycle.   • Lead analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment activities for complex software solutions.
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Design software architecture, system integrations, and technical approaches that meet current and future needs.
  • Drive software quality through code reviews, testing practices, and engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects, performance issues, and system challenges.
  • Lead technical implementation efforts and coordinate activities across multiple teams.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement of development methodologies, tools, and delivery processes.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure documentation, technical specifications, and system changes are maintained and communicated appropriately.

  • Applies best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes or services. Is accountable for small projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements. Resolves difficult and complex problems using judgment and analysis; contributes to problem solving in collaborative settings. Interprets policies and adapts them to new situations.
  • Demonstrates judgment in selecting methods to solve problems that have cross-functional impacts or require balancing competing priorities. Applies advanced knowledge of job area with experienced understanding of functional area.

Requirements

  • Required Education: Bachelors degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Required Experience: 4 - 6 years of relevant experience, * Significant experience in software development, systems engineering, or application development.
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and development frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in programming, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and contributing to solution design.
  • Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to mentor team members and influence technical direction.

Work Environment & Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to travel infrequently (less than 10% of the time)
  • Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for at least 50% of time worked
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and via digital platforms with other employees, members, and third-party vendors
  • Capable of operating appropriate office equipment required for employee productivity, including use of keyboards
  • Possess the ability to function independently
  • Ability to lift up to a minimum of 10 lbs. (maybe more for some roles)
  • Role may require extended hours during peak periods (e.g., fiscal close, audits, etc.)
