Job description

MDM ETL Specialist / Developer to provide technical development and hands-on delivery and support for Master Data Management services supporting the Health and Human Services Innovation Incubator project. This role will focus on Informatica MDM, Informatica PowerCenter, data integration, data quality, data governance, and analysis capabilities that support a unified cross-agency client/member view across State programs. The selected candidate will develop and support MDM technical solutions, work under the guidance of the MDM Technical Lead, collaborate with other team members, support Informatica workflows and data loads, develop and optimize SQL and Python-enabled automation where appropriate, troubleshoot production issues, support QA/testing, and help maintain reliable MDM operations., n \n

  • Use Informatica MDM tool to combine source data from agency sources, applying numerous transformations to the data that are required, applying corrections to the source files, and adding new fields via the change request process. \n

  • Working knowledge of Informatica MDM and ability to support MDM development and operational activities. \n

  • Automate the staging of data by scheduling scripts to run at optimal times, enhancing overall system performance and efficiency. \n

  • Implementing MDM jobs by creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows. \n

  • Working with different ETL transformations, including Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Router, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner, Rank and Source Qualifier, Lookup, and Sorter. \n

  • Scheduling and monitoring ETL/Informatica jobs in development, system testing, and production environment. \n

  • Troubleshoot post-release production support issues and develop solutions. \n

  • Developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex SQL queries and scripts used to create data marts in Teradata. \n

  • Work directly with the QA team to support defect resolution, validation, and testing of MDM-related processes. \n

  • Participating in project discussions to document and recommend alternative technical solutions or requirements. \n

  • Participating in unit, integration, and system testing. \n

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in MDM, ETL/ELT, data engineering, or data integration development. \n

  • 3+ years of hands-on Informatica MDM implementation experience. \n

  • Experience developing ETL mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, transformations, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting Informatica jobs. \n

  • SQL experience, with large MDM and DBMS enterprise relational platforms. \n

  • Experience with data quality, matching, unique client/member identifier, standardization, reconciliation, and data governance concepts. \n

  • Experience supporting ETL/MDM operations, performance tuning, issue resolution, and SDLC delivery. \n

  • Experience with Python programming for scripting, automation, testing, or data processing support. \n

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 2 MDM ETL Specialist / Developer Position \n, n \n

  • Experience working in State Government, public sector, or regulated environments. \n

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Sprint development and iterative/incremental delivery. \n

  • Experience with healthcare, Medicaid, claims, eligibility, provider, or Health and Human Services data. \n

  • Exposure to interoperability formats such as X12, EDI, XML, JSON, APIs, or HL7/FHIR. \n

  • Exposure to cloud data platforms or modernization initiatives such as Azure, ADF, Databricks, Snowflake, Data Lake, or comparable technologies is a plus. \n

  • Experience with on-prem-to-cloud migration, MDM modernization, or EDW / ETL modernization initiatives. \n

  • Exposure to automation, AI/ML, GenAI, or LLM-assisted engineering for development, testing, documentation, profiling, or data quality is a plus. \n

  • Ability to operate in a telecommute environment and matrix organization with minimal direction.

  • Integrate State agency data to create a holistic view of the clients that the State serves and to administer all State agency programs more effectively and efficiently. \n

  • Provide advanced analytics, data quality analysis, business/data analysis, and MDM data specialists in support of the Health and Human Services Incubator (HHSi2) project. \n

  • Partner with the State to develop custom dashboards using data as part of the HHSi2 project. \n

  • Provide technical expertise using Informatica MDM and related integration tools to support MDM data processing, data quality, and downstream system(s) needs. \n

  • Support data quality strategy while allowing for data quality analysis and other data governance activities. \n

  • Maintain data quality by using timely and consistent processes and evaluating data quality with the State. \n

  • Leverage established data governance practices and work with State staff and other vendors/partners to improve and validate data consistency and integrity. \n

  • Provide a structure to support business and data analysis using industry standard practices. \n

  • Data analysis to support policy development and program evaluation. \n

  • Identify opportunities/use-cases that help translate data analysis into cost savings and improved outcomes in programs and service areas. 1 MDM ETL Specialist / Developer Position \n
