Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 3+ month contract engagement supporting a large enterprise environment. This individual will work hands-on with the organization’s network infrastructure, focusing heavily on Juniper technologies, routing, switching, troubleshooting, and network implementations. The ideal candidate is a strong network engineer who can quickly assess an existing environment, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist with implementation and infrastructure initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on network engineering and can step into an enterprise environment and make an immediate impact. Pay $55-$60 /hr, Support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.

• Configure and support Juniper networking equipment, including switches and routers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues.
• Assist with network implementations, upgrades, configuration changes, and infrastructure projects.
• Support LAN/WAN network environments and associated connectivity.
• Analyze network performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues across network devices, circuits, configurations, and connected systems.
• Assist with network hardware installation, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain accurate network configurations, diagrams, documentation, and implementation records.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, systems, security, and other technical teams to resolve issues and successfully complete projects.

Strong professional experience in network engineering, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience working with Juniper networking technologies.
• Strong understanding of enterprise routing and switching concepts and protocols.
• Experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting routers and switches.
• Experience supporting enterprise network environments and network infrastructure projects.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and general network architecture.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to quickly become productive within an existing network environment. Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP certification or equivalent level of networking knowledge and experience.
• Experience supporting large or distributed enterprise environments.
• Experience participating in network migrations, upgrades, refreshes, or new implementations.
• Additional Cisco networking experience is a plus.
