Job description
Provide customer support for High Performance Computing (HPC) software to enable HPC systems to continue operating smoothly in operational environments. Support a wide range of UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems, desktop applications, servers, and networks required in support of the mission.
- Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments.
- Maintain system installations and work with HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management software.
- Develop Linux Shell scripts and utilize programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, or JavaScript) for system integration and software support.
- Perform structured troubleshooting and configuration management across heterogeneous IT environments.
- Utilize GCC compilers, multi-threaded software, and parallel processing techniques.
Requirements
- Linux Shell scripting
- Object-Oriented Programming (C, C++, Java) & Python
- GCC compiler, multi-threaded software, and parallel processing
- CORBA, J2EE, Perl, or JavaScript
- Configuration Management (CM) tools and structured troubleshooting skills
- HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management software
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required, Ten (10) years of demonstrable experience (with a degree, or 15 years without) in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $203k-$248k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
