Job description

We are seeking a UX Engineer who enjoys owning the entire user experience lifecycle, from concept and design through front-end development and implementation. This role is ideal for a professional who can create intuitive user experiences in Figma and then bring those experiences to life through production-ready code.

You’ll support a growing portfolio of insurance product integrations, partner digital experiences, and platform modernization initiatives while collaborating with Product, Partnership Success Teams, and global stakeholders. This position sits at the intersection of UX design and front-end engineering, offering the opportunity to influence both the visual experience and technical implementation of customer-facing solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and develop responsive web experiences for insurance and partner-integrated digital products.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows using Figma.
  • Build and maintain production-ready front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON-based integrations.
  • Support ongoing enhancements and ownership of a rapidly growing B2C platform.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences and scalable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to design systems, reusable UI components, accessibility standards, and UX best practices.
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities across retail, partner, and global initiatives.
  • Support market expansion efforts and new partner launches through both design and development work.
  • Opportunity to influence growing digital products and partner experiences.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of UX Design and/or Front-End Development experience
  • Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience building responsive websites and web applications
  • Strong proficiency with Figma
  • Experience with front-end frameworks/tools and reusable UI components
  • Understanding of APIs, JSON/XML, and web integrations
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Benefits & conditions

  • Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Estimated Range: $72-80k
  • Preference for candidates local to Richmond, VA
  • Candidates outside of Richmond may be considered but must be comfortable with a minimum monthly in-person requirement.
  • This is an urgent need & quick process - we are looking for individuals who active in their job search, readily available to interview and start ASAP
