Job description
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SAP FTP Consultant on behalf of our client in Dallas, TX / Tulsa, OK / Memphis, TN. This role will support the Forecast-to-Produce (FTP) process within SAP, with a strong focus on manufacturing, production planning, execution, MRP, and quality processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SAP manufacturing implementation experience and the ability to work closely with business, operations, engineering, supply chain, and technical teams. This is a hands-on functional role focused on solution design, process improvement, stabilization, and plant rollout initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support SAP Forecast-to-Produce processes across planning, manufacturing execution, production orders, MRP, scheduling, and shop-floor operations. Work with Operations, Production Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders to identify and resolve process gaps. Support SAP PP and QM configuration, enhancements, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze MRP behavior, demand signals, production orders, staging, confirmations, and completion processes. Work with BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions, master data, and manufacturing dependencies. Support make-to-order, configure-to-order, and engineer-to-order manufacturing processes. Collaborate with EWM, QM, purchasing, costing, MDG, engineering, and integration teams on end-to-end solution design. Troubleshoot planning, production execution, quality, master data, configuration, and integration issues. Support improvements related to WIP visibility, staged inventory, component consumption, inspections, nonconformance handling, and production scheduling. Contribute to process standardization, plant stabilization, and future SAP rollout initiatives. Support solution design for enhancements while minimizing unnecessary customization and long-term support complexity. Assist with process flows, functional specifications, test scripts, training materials, and implementation documentation. Participate in testing for releases, fixes, enhancements, and plant rollouts. Clearly communicate technical and functional concepts to both business and technical stakeholders. Requirements
7+ years of experience in SAP PP, SAP QM, manufacturing, or related functional areas. Strong hands-on experience with: MRP and production planning Production orders and manufacturing execution BOMs, routings, work centers, and production versions Production confirmations and backflushing SAP QM processes, including inspection lots, quality notifications, and usage decisions Experience working in complex discrete manufacturing environments. Hands-on SAP implementation experience, including participation in requirements, design, configuration, testing, and rollout activities. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across master data, configuration, transactions, and integrations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and articulate requirements clearly. Ability to explain previous implementation work in detail, including personal responsibilities, design decisions, and business impact. Preferred Qualifications SAP S/4HANA manufacturing experience. Experience with discrete manufacturing environments. Experience with CTO, ETO, variant configuration, or project-based manufacturing. Experience with SAP EWM staging and SAP QM integration. Experience with shop-floor mobility, MES, Teamcenter/PLM, or advanced planning tools. Experience with integrations involving EWM, PTP, RTR, MDG, Engineering, or related enterprise systems. SAP certification in PP, Manufacturing, or S/4HANA Production Planning. HVAC or related manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on SAP manufacturing professional who can bridge the gap between business requirements and SAP solutions.
