Job description
We are looking for a creative and experienced Game UI/UX Designer who focuses on optimizing usability, player immersion, and user experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive interfaces, heads-up displays (HUDs), and menus, improving the interaction between players and our digital games. You will work closely with the game lead designer, game developers, artists, producers, and other stakeholders to realize innovative solutions that align with player behavior and game design objectives., * Developing wireframes, interactive prototypes, a good understanding of Photoshop and Adobe XD is needed.
- Translating game design documents (GDD) and core mechanics into effective layout, HUD, and menu designs
- Applying game design patterns and usability standards to create seamless gaming experiences
- Collaborating with technical artists and front-end development teams to implement designs into game engines, including Unity (uGUI/UI Toolkit)
- Creating visual designs, motion graphics, screen transitions, and UI elements that align with the game’s art style and branding guidelines
- Participating in design thinking and brainstorming sessions to develop innovative UI solutions for complex gameplay mechanics
- Documenting UI/UX design choices and maintaining style guides and asset libraries for consistent user experiences across the title
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireframing?, * Proven experience as a Game UI/UX Designer with a portfolio showcasing intuitive, visually appealing web, mobile, or console game interfaces
- Strong skills in wireframing, prototyping, layout design, and asset creation with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Balsamiq
- Hands-on experience with the game engine Unity, and a solid understanding of technical implementation constraints
- Comprehensive understanding of diegetic vs. non-diegetic UI, accessibility standards (e.g., colorblind modes), and visual design for various screen resolutions
- Knowledge of motion design, particle systems, or VFX for UI transitions is a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills to effectively interpret player data and optimize UI layouts based on feedback
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple UI feature pipelines simultaneously within production deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English
