Systems Engineer, Principal - TS/SCI w/Poly

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Engineers to join our team! In this role you will get to support National Tactical Data Manager the preeminent Over the Horizon - Targeting tool for all the Warfighting Services!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
• Perform system hardening, patching, and other activities necessary to maintain secure and reliable systems.
• Communicate effectively with program personnel, Government representatives, mission partners, and senior executives
• Collaborate with developers and testers to support software development, system integration, verification, and mission-effect validation.
• Ensure the technical integrity and quality of work products and deliverables within the assigned systems engineering area.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architectures, and system design documentation.
• Gather data pertaining to user needs and problems and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
• Participate in a weekly rotating after hours on-call team.

• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.
• Strong Linux systems administration and engineering experience. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• TS/SCI w/Poly is required

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently assess a project, identify an effective technical approach, and implement a solution.
• Experience with Keycloak, LDAP, Geoserver, and NIFI.
• Knowledge of tactical data links and related technologies, such as Link 16, IBS, and Cursor-on-Target (CoT).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
• Ability to support Information Assurance activities

Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
