Job description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Principal Database Administrator to lead the design, optimization, and reliability of large-scale database platforms supporting our automotive marketplaces and software products. In this role, you will define database standards, architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, and optimize performance for mission-critical transactional and analytics workloads. You will mentor DBAs, partner with engineering and product teams on data-intensive features, and drive automation, security, and compliance across on-prem and cloud database environments in a collaborative, people-first culture., * Design and maintain scalable, secure database architectures for high-volume applications

  • Own database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning
  • Implement and manage high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Develop and enforce database standards, security policies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams on data-intensive features and migrations
  • Drive automation of database provisioning, deployments, and maintenance tasks
  • Lead root-cause analysis and remediation of complex database incidents
  • Mentor and guide DBAs and engineers on database design and optimization
  • Partner with Info

  • Evaluate and integrate new database technologies and cloud data services
