Software QA Engineer - Telecom Applications

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer with experience testing software applications used in the telecommunications industry.

This is a hands-on QA role focused on testing mobile applications, web applications, backend systems, integrations, and connected devices. You will perform functional and regression testing, investigate software defects, analyze logs, and work closely with software developers and product teams to help deliver reliable releases.

What You’ll Do

• Test telecom software applications across mobile, web, backend, and integrated systems
• Perform functional, integration, regression, sanity, and acceptance testing
• Test Android and iOS mobile applications
• Perform Web and Backend testing, including services, data flows, and system integrations
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and acceptance test procedures
• Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira
• Investigate issues using application, device, server, and system logs
• Troubleshoot problems across application, backend, network, and integration layers
• Verify software fixes and perform targeted regression testing
• Support software releases, patches, and customer-specific validation
• Work closely with Software Development, Product, Delivery, and QA teams
• Help identify opportunities for test automation and contribute to automated testing
• Track QA metrics including test progress, coverage, defects, and release quality
• Communicate testing results, risks, blockers, and overall quality status

• 2+ years of experience in Software QA / Software Testing
• Experience testing software applications, preferably within telecommunications, communications, networking, or a related technology environment
• Hands-on experience with mobile application testing on Android and/or iOS
• Experience with web and backend testing
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the software defect lifecycle
• Experience with Jira or a similar defect tracking system
• Ability to analyze application, device, and server logs
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow an issue through an end-to-end software workflow and help identify root cause
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with software development and product teams

Telecom Experience

• Experience testing telecom or communications software
• Experience with VoIP, SIP, RTP, PTT/MCPTT, or real-time communications
• Knowledge of 3GPP or telecom network integrations
• Experience testing third-party integrations or connected devices
• Experience with API, UI, mobile, or backend automation
• Scripting/programming experience with Python, Java, or similar
• ISTQB or other QA certification
