Job description

If you love high-profile and challenging programing projects supporting the US Navy- Serco has a great opportunity for you! The Junior Data Management Analyst will support a US Navy shipbuilding program office in Washington D.C. by overseeing ship configuration and changing incorporation for Navy ships. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on our military defense and safety of our sailors.

The ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.

The successful candidate will be integrated into the Program Office Engineering and Material Services Branch support team solving technical challenges and overseeing changes to ship systems for US Navy ships under construction.

In this role, you will:

  • Process and distribute all C150 letters on behalf of the SSGC Project Office
  • Process and distribute all Change Board approved letters on behalf of the SSGC Project Office & 400D7
  • Liaison with Data Management and technical support communities FYS to resolve emergent issues in support of CDRLs.
  • Provide support and expertise across all branches on change process and change incorporation concerns.
  • Monitor data management support.
  • Assist SSGC in execution of the DDG 51 Data Management Plan (DMP). Execute management of Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) data, submittals, and final Government correspondence and responses through the Program IDE.
  • Retrieve electronic data submittals from contractor IDE and other web-based data sites.
  • Assist SSGC and PMS 400D with metrics and reports as required for performance assessments, program meetings, and events.
  • Review DDG 51 and contractor policies and guidance.
  • Provide program recommendations to SSGC for concurrence and resolution.
  • Participate, facilitate, and lead data management meetings.
  • Provides agenda, meeting minutes, dial-in information, conference rooms, and other meeting materials as required.
  • Provide other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • The ability to obtain/maintain/transfer DoW Secret security clearance.
  • A U.S. citizenship.
  • A Bachelor’s degree. Additional relevant experience can be considered to offset degree requirements.
  • 3 plus years’ relevant experience working in data management. Preference given to those whose experience is supporting Navy shipbuilding or other ACAT 1 programs
  • Familiarity with CDRL reviews, change package development and pricing.
  • Expertise with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other office tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of engineering analysis techniques.
  • The ability to obtain travel 10%.
