The successful candidate will serve as a Senior Director, Enterprise Network Architecture reporting to the Infrastructure Management division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead and oversee the data center architecture teams across all enterprise data centers to ensure cohesive, scalable infrastructure design.
- Direct multi-site data center initiatives, aligning physical and virtual environments with global network strategy and high-availability standards.
- Define global enterprise network architecture, including CCEWIN and Optical technologies ensuring long-term strategies align with future business and technology growth goals.
- Research, evaluate, recommend, and validate new emerging technologies to solve tomorrow’s problems in innovative ways.
- Design and develop highly available, secure, flexible, fault-tolerant, on-premises, and cloud-based network solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to engineering and support teams for day-to-day operations and approved solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis for service interruptions, create preventative measures, and manage special projects and vendor testing initiatives.
- Create high-level technical presentations for management, collaborate with vendors, and lead budget approval documentation.
- Design & re-deploy the CCEWIN environment for optimum usage and functionality, participate in the DoITT Optical Backbone network, plan & undertake new strategic initiatives.

HOURS/SHIFT Day - Due to the necessary management duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, the candidate may be required to be on call and work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings. Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 credits in the field of voice and/or data telecommunications or in a pertinent scientific, technical, electronic or related area, and four years of satisfactory fulltime experience in the performance of analytical, planning, operational, technical, or administrative duties in a voice and/or data telecommunications or closely related electronics planning, management, and/or service organization, one year of which must have been in a highly specialized capacity and 18 months must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity or in the supervision of staff performing work in the voice and/or data telecommunications field; or
- An associate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 12 credits in the field of voice and/or data telecommunications or in a pertinent, scientific, technical, electronic or related area and five years of experience as described in “1” above; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” above. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of the specialized experience as described in “1” above and must possess the 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience as described in “1” above. Preferred Skills The successful candidate should possess the following: - 12+ years of experience in designing & implementing enterprise networks or large city government network architecture & managing the project resources to completion. - 10+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and rolling our large load balance architecture for large city governments including project resources from other groups and vendor consultants - 10+ years of experience in managing manpower resources, employees/ consultants while rolling our major projects involving routing protocols migration - 10+ years of experience in leading a team to design, architect and complete structured cabling in a large data center.
