Job description

Link Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team in Orlando, FL.

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher is required
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level) will support the South East Region Cyberspace Support Center (RCSC) and be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise IT systems supporting mission-critical operations. This position works closely with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of Government systems. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience supporting Windows Server environments, Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure services., * Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, software, and peripheral equipment.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and health using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Perform patch management, systems maintenance, and configuration management activities.
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Group Policy, and enterprise infrastructure services.
  • Support virtualization environments, storage platforms, and backup solutions.
  • Execute data backup and recovery operations utilizing technologies such as Veeam, NetBackup, and HPE StoreOnce.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Support cloud migration and modernization projects.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices and support vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, engineering, and application teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.

Requirements

Several factors influence final compensation, including relevant experience, technical expertise, certifications, and education., * U.S. Citizen

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Four (4+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems administration.
  • Experience performing system maintenance, patch management, backup and recovery operations, and troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
  • Experience administering enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam, NetBackup, or HPE StoreOnce.
  • Knowledge of server monitoring, performance tuning, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration, cloud services, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability remediation, and systems hardening.
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity operations.\
  • Experience maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
  • Experience working with networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience administering Windows Server 2016 or later operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Experience supporting VMware and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with ACAS, Nessus, Retina, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based environments and cloud migration efforts.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
