Job description

Our client is looking for DevOps Engineers at all experience levels to join small, fast-paced, agile delivery teams. You will work on challenging projects, helping teams build, deploy and operate secure software on AWS., Depending on your experience and the project, your responsibilities may include:

  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, test, deploy, release, operate and monitor software securely and efficiently.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Building and operating shared AWS platform services for deployment, operations and monitoring.
  • Developing and managing platforms for containerised applications on AWS.
  • Writing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Deploying and operating applications in AWS environments.
  • Supporting teams as they onboard applications to shared platform services.

Requirements

You bring a proactive approach, enjoy learning and take pride in improving how software is delivered. Our client welcomes applications from engineers at different stages of their careers, with experience assessed against the relevant role level.

AWS experience is essential, with the depth of knowledge required depending on your experience level.

Ideally, you will also have experience in:

  • Developing and deploying secure software using appropriate technologies and design patterns.
  • Designing and operating reliable, highly available shared services on AWS.
  • Working across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Delivering projects using agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Exposure to the following technologies would be beneficial, but is not essential:

GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Vault, AWS serverless technologies, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory and Nexus.

Relevant AWS certifications are also welcome.

Security clearance

All applicants must be eligible to obtain full UK Security Check (SC) clearance. Some projects require a higher level of clearance.
