Job description

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an IT Business Relationship Manager for Automation to connect business needs with digital and automation solutions in biotech and pharmaceutical operations. You will partner with manufacturing, quality, and engineering leaders to define roadmaps, translate requirements, and deliver technology that improves efficiency, compliance, and product quality. Responsibilities include leading automation and data initiatives, managing vendors, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring alignment with GxP and global IT standards. You will drive innovation, support continuous improvement, and provide strategic guidance on automation capabilities and best practices., * Serve as primary IT partner for automation and manufacturing stakeholders, shaping technology strategy and roadmaps.

  • Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for automation, data, and integration initiatives.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of MES, SCADA, and related automation solutions aligned with Abbott standards.
  • Ensure solutions comply with Gx
  • P, data integrity, cybersecurity, and global regulatory expectations.
  • Manage projects and vendors to deliver on scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Translate technical concepts into business language and communicate status, risks, and value.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in automated manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Support change management, user adoption, and training for new digital capabilities.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams to integrate automation platforms with enterprise systems.
  • Monitor performance, gather feedback, and refine solutions to maximize business impact.
