Security Architect

We are looking for a Senior Security Architect to assess and define the baseline security architecture underpinning a major programme spanning local, regional and national delivery models. This is a hands-on architectural assessment role - evaluating options, surfacing risks, and producing clear, actionable recommendations that inform how security is designed and delivered at scale., * Assess baseline security architecture requirements across the programme

• Evaluate architecture options for local, regional and national delivery models
• Assess security tooling dependencies, with particular focus on Microsoft security, SIEM, and identity services
• Identify architectural risks associated with centralisation
• Assess technical feasibility of proposed approaches
• Assess multi-tenant and shared service approaches
• Identify dependencies and technical constraints across the architecture
• Produce clear, well-evidenced architecture recommendations
• Map Microsoft Suite alignment to the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and wider government security frameworks

• Active SC Clearance - mandatory for this role
• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Security Architect, ideally within large-scale, multi-tier (local/regional/national) delivery programmes
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft security tooling, SIEM platforms, and identity services
• Experience assessing centralisation risk and multi-tenant/shared service architecture models
• Familiarity with the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and wider UK government security frameworks
• Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear architecture recommendations
• Experience working within public sector or similarly regulated environments
