Job description
Step into a high-impact technical leadership role shaping a growing Salesforce ecosystem roughly two years into its journey. As our Salesforce Platform & Engineering Manager, you will serve as the primary technical partner to platform leadership, guiding a dedicated internal engineering team, establishing architecture standards, and bringing key capabilities in-house while leveraging vendor support. You will bridge the gap between high-level business vision and rock-solid execution without losing your technical edge. Architect & Influence: Own the technical roadmap and set standards for code quality, risk assessment, and platform architecture. Lead & Mentor: Directly guide and mentor internal developers and admins, conduct code reviews, and align work to individual strengths. Refine Platform Delivery: Partner with Product Managers to translate business intent into developer-ready tickets and smooth sprint execution. Oversee Ecosystem Integrations: Architect and refine complex integrations across middleware engines, enterprise data platforms, and marketing cloud solutions. Work-Life & Schedule Hours: Standard 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, fully remote environment Deployments: Predictable bi-weekly Wednesday release cycles (high-level availability, no routine hands-on deployment grind).
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of senior Salesforce development experience, plus 3+ years in a technical lead, functional lead, or engineering management role. (Tech delivery Leads ready for their first formal management title are encouraged to apply!) Certifications: Active Salesforce Developer, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect certification is required. Technical Depth: Advanced Apex, LWC, Visualforce, REST/SOAP APIs, and modern web stack (JavaScript, HTML, CSS). Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders and partner effectively across leadership. * Nice-to-Have: Experience creating system architecture diagrams and design docs (Visio, Figma, etc.).
