Job description
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an Applications Architect (.NET) B Intermediate on behalf of our client in Tallahassee, FL. The selected candidate will provide technical architecture and development leadership for application modernization initiatives, with a strong focus on the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, application integration, code quality, security, and modernization of legacy systems. The role will support the analysis, remediation, and modernization of enterprise applications and financial systems while providing technical guidance to development teams. Key Responsibilities Design and document end-to-end application architectures using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem. Define solution patterns including monolithic, modular monolith, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Establish architectural standards, reference architectures, and design guidelines. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and solution approaches. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Review code, pull requests, and technical designs for architectural compliance and quality. Apply SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and development best practices. Support CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment strategies. Assess legacy applications and recommend modernization and refactoring approaches. Support migration of legacy technologies toward modern .NET solutions. Identify and prioritize technical debt and remediation opportunities. Develop architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). Participate in architecture reviews and technical governance activities. Analyze existing applications, computing assets, technical specifications, and business rules. Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis. Support application upgrades, remediation, and modernization initiatives. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability. Provide knowledge transfer and technical mentoring to internal teams. Requirements
7+ years of experience across multiple IT areas. 2 3 years of relevant architecture experience. Advanced knowledge of application architecture, systems design, and integration with a strong focus on .NET. Strong experience with C# or ASP.NET Core. Experience designing and developing RESTful Web APIs. Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks. Strong knowledge of .NET Framework and modern .NET (.NET 6+). Experience with Microsoft Azure. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue. Strong understanding of SQL Server and relational database design. Knowledge of application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability. Strong technical documentation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). Knowledge of event-driven architecture and integration patterns. Experience with Azure services such as Application Insights, Key Vault, and Blob Storage. Experience with performance tuning and data-access optimization. Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability solutions. Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies. Experience working with financial systems or ERP environments. Experience creating Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs). Experience documenting technical requirements and architectural decisions. Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications. Strong problem-solving, leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills. Work Arrangement Onsite 5 days per week in Tallahassee, FL.
