Network Engineer III

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Network Tier 3 Engineer to support our proposal effort for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.Position Overview:Provide on-site Tier 3 network engineering support for the EACN environment at Scott Air Force Base. This mission-essential role supports A2G2 operations, network architecture, configuration management, testing, troubleshooting, sustainment, and integration of new capabilities.Job Duties: Provide network analysis and design services to engineer, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to meet EACN requirements and optimize network/system performance. Assist Government Engineers with EACN Configuration/Change Management, Technical Architecture, and current/future-state planning. Assist in troubleshooting network issues at the JBA and JBLM operational A2G2s and platforms accessing the A2G2. Support approved EACN A2G2 hardware configuration and installation requirements. Establish and maintain the A2G2 baseline configuration and SIL, including installation and functional testing of new software versions, TCTOs, patches, TCNOs, and other applicable directives. Modify the A2G2 baseline configuration to support additional OSA/EA, MAF, and Roll-On/Roll-Off assets as required. Assist with installing, removing, or replacing equipment and making configuration changes at operational A2G2 sites. Train incoming Government and/or contractor personnel on A2G2 configuration standards. Provide a Network Installation and Configuration Guide before changes are made to an operational system, network, or gateway. Ensure new hardware, software, and configuration changes are documented, installed, and tested in the SIL before changes are made to operational A2G2s. Configure and maintain a test-and-evaluation gateway supporting troubleshooting, aircraft DT&E/OT&E, and operational gateway baseline configuration. Update local checklists, policies, diagrams, and EACN documentation in accordance with Government Engineer guidance. Perform network/system backups in accordance with DISA STIG and Government Engineer guidance. Recommend configuration changes, remain aware of future upgrades, develop solutions, identify deficiencies, perform requested system/configuration changes, and identify new requirements. Provide technical and configuration information necessary to support all three A2G2s. Create scripts, executables, graphs, and maps to configure and utilize networked computers. Maintain servers through disk management, cleanup, backups, approved updates/patches, secure connectivity, and SNMP-based statistics collection. Support trend analysis concerning network availability, utilization, outages, and overall system health. Review configurations, operating procedures, and troubleshooting procedures involving routers, switches, firewalls, CIDR, VLSM, DNS, network management, encryption, and satellite transmissions.
