Job description

Our client seeks an experienced HR Data and Reporting Analyst to support HR Operations. Reporting to the Director, Workforce Planning Operations, this contract role will provide workforce reporting, data analysis, and operational insights across Workday HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and Learning. The position is an HR operations functional role and will collaborate with HRIS and other HR functional teams when system expertise, configuration support, or issue resolution is required. The analyst will assess reporting needs, translate them into reliable reports and dashboards, validate data, reconcile information across HR processes, and document report definitions and controls. The role will monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, analyze workforce trends and key HR metrics, support audits and compliance-related reporting, and respond to time-sensitive data requests while maintaining appropriate data security and confidentiality., * Partner with HR leaders, functional teams, and business stakeholders to assess reporting needs and translate them into clear, reliable reports, dashboards, and recurring deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc Workday reports, including creation of calculated fields as needed.
  • Validate report logic and results and reconcile data across HR processes.
  • Document report definitions, data sources, procedures, and controls.
  • Coordinate with HRIS for requests requiring system configuration, security changes, integrations, or technical troubleshooting.
  • Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and drive issue resolution with HR functional teams.
  • Analyze workforce trends and key HR metrics and present findings in an understandable format.
  • Support audits and compliance-related reporting and respond to time-sensitive data requests.
  • Test and validate new or revised reports from a business-user perspective.
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality and provide guidance or job aids to help users interpret HR information.

Requirements

  • Proven experience analyzing HR data and developing accurate, actionable reports and dashboards supporting HR operations and decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Workday reporting tools, including custom reports and calculated fields, across HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and Learning.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to validate data, identify trends, and explain findings.
  • Sound judgment handling confidential employee information.
  • Experience partnering with HRIS on system-related questions or technical issues preferred; no requirement for Workday configuration or HRIS administration.
  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data governance, reporting documentation, and quality-control practices preferred.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
