Job description

L’objectif de cette recherche est de développer un Design for Additive Manufacturing orienté performance thermique en service. C’est-à-dire d’intégrer la performance thermique comme variable de conception principale en couplant l’optimisation topologique, la simulation thermique (CFD), les contraintes L-PBF ainsi que la gestion des fonctions secondaires de la pièce.

Les simulations théoriques seront confrontées aux tests réels obtenus sur prototypes métalliques fabriqués avec les équipements de la plateforme de Fabrication Additive, en collaboration avec nos partenaires industriels.

Requirements

The objective of this research is to develop a Design for Additive Manufacturing oriented toward thermal performance in service. That is to say, to integrate thermal performance as the main design variable by coupling topological optimization, thermal simulation (CFD), L-PBF constraints, and the management of the part’s secondary functions.

Theoretical simulations will be compared with real tests obtained on metal prototypes manufactured with the equipment of the Additive Manufacturing platform, in collaboration with our industrial partners., Le/la candidat(e) doit avoir de solides compétences en calcul FEM et avoir été sensibilisé(e) au calcul des structures soumises aux gradients thermiques (maitrise d’un logiciel CFD). Des compétences en méthode de conception de systèmes mécaniques, en fabrication additive ainsi qu’en optimisation topologique sont souhaitées.The candidate must have strong skills in FEM calculations and have been exposed to the calculation of structures subjected to thermal gradients (proficiency in CFD software). Skills in mechanical system design methods, additive manufacturing, and topological optimization are desired.
