Software Engineer - Data

We are looking for Back-end Engineers with a Data focus, as this team will be building production software and data systems beyond traditional ETL pipelines. Strong programming skills in Python are expected.

• 5+ years of experience in application development with strong Python programming skills.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• 4+ years working with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with data migration activities in cloud environments, focusing on enterprise-scale data movement and transformation.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake to analyze large datasets.
• Familiarity with distributed data processing and batch/stream processing tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or similar.
• Familiarity with enterprise ETL pipelines, Data Quality controls, and compliance Governance.
• Practical experience architecting real-time, event-driven data streams using Kafka/OneStream.

• Familiarity with large-scale cloud data warehousing, performance optimization, and modeling within Snowflake and OneLake Nice to Have Skills:

• Java development experience.
• Experience with AWS Glue or other AWS data integration services.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments, including basic shell scripting.
• Experience working in Agile teams and knowledge of Agile engineering practices.
• Prior consulting experience or aptitude for client-facing collaborative environments., * Bachelor’s Degree, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college is required
