Requirements

  • Associates of Science (AS) Degree in Engineering Technology with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design, mechanics of materials, and/or system design. \n

  • Minimum eight (8) years total experience in design with airframe structures \n

  • Authorized to Work in the US \n

  • Frequently use widely known technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve technical problems. \n

  • Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collectively. \n

  • Dependable, self-motivated and accessible. \n

  • Able to perform work activity tasks in an organized manner with minimal direction once sufficient training has occurred. \n

  • Apply knowledge of repair and maintenance documentation, techniques and procedures (SRM, NTM, IPC etc.). \n

  • Capable of creating and delivering technical documents and presentations without guidance, * Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail), * Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Physics, or Math \n

  • Experience in composite airframe structures \n

  • MRO/Fleet Engineering experience; MRB Experience \n

  • Knowledge of maintenance repair shop practices, equipment and capabilities. \n

  • Working knowledge of Airbus Structures \n

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) \n

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and disciplines., * Effectively communicate issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work internally and externally

n \nThis position supports the airline in-service fleet on repairs of aircraft structure and is responsible for the creation of quality repair solutions in a timely manner from a Design point of view. Duties include performing design efforts for both metallic and non-metallic parts while working in close collaboration with static stress and fatigue colleagues to provide repair solutions.   • Create high quality integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for the airlines and internal customers within given time scales. \n

  • Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures from the Maintenance Repair Organization and develop quality repair solutions with little support. Create or modify a wide range of difficult repair tasks. \n

  • Create or modify technical documents such as: Technical Communications, Technical Dispositions, Repair Instructions, Repair Drawings within various Airbus computer based applications with high quality and efficiency. \n

  • Collaborate with Static Stress, F&DT and other appropriate Airbus departments to come up with optimum solutions. Perform functional and technical tasks with guidance. \n

  • Provide responses to moderate to difficult repair queries by giving guidance as required within Airbus Operations and Customer Services in a clear and concise manner. Ensure that the final repair solution brings the aircraft back into an airworthy condition. \n

  • Ensure all tasks and activities required are executed to planned time scales. \n

  • Effectively communicate issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work internally and externally. \n

  • Able to work towards or obtain a technical signatory to sign off repair data. \n
