Job description

IT Database EngineerWe are seeking an experienced IT Database Engineer to join our client’s growing infrastructure team.This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where you’ll be responsible for supporting, administering and securing critical production databases. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance and resilience across the database estate while contributing to ongoing infrastructure and database projects.What we are looking for:5 years + experience in production database administration. At least 2 of the following: SQL-Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle are essential.Experience in database administration within a production environment for below DB products is a plus but not essential: ClickHouse, snowflake,Basic understanding of DB monitoring, analysis, disaster recovery, and performance tuningFamiliarity with UNIX/LinuxExperience in one or more database programming languages (SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL etc.) for design

Requirements

maintain, administrate, secure, backup and recovery across production, back test, UAT and development environmentsExperience of managing security and permissionsKnowledge of industry best practicesGood attention to detail, testing and documentationOrganized with a proactive approach to work.
