Our work depends on Network Installs Admin joining our team to install, operate and maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues and quickly remedy the problemHOW A NETWORK INSTALLS ADMIN WILL MAKE AN IMPACTPerform related planning; installation; configuration; operations and maintenance; documentation; network coordination and engineering activities related to network services.Provide coordination with the customers network engineers to ensure installed/LCR equipment has been documented within the network monitoring system, Network Configuration Manager (NCM) and

Access Control System (ACS).Perform offsite surveys, installation, configuration, maintenance, documentation, hardware support, and testing at CONUS and OCONUS locations, as required.Plans and coordinates major information technology initiatives. Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages.Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients.Assists in internal training programs. Meets regularly with other network team leads to plan and coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Associates DegreeRequired Experience: 3+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills:CCNA requiredDoD 8570 IAT Level II requiredITIL v3 Foundation certification preferredHas full technical knowledge of all phases of network operationsInside Plant (ISP) installation standards experienceCisco Call Manager Experience (Move, Add, Change, Delete (MACD) actions)Will be required to provide clear written documentation on network diagramsMust closely follow network protocols and methodologySecurity Clearance Level:TS/SCI RequiredPreferred Skills:Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow throughMust be able to effectively interact with staff from other sections on complex client/server problemsDetail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessmentsLocation: On Customer SiteCitizenshipUS Citizenship RequiredTravel Requirement:Short Term Travel is RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.
