Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer specializing in Siemens Simcenter Amesim to join our engineering team. In this role, you will leverage 1D multi-physics system simulation to model, analyze, and optimize intelligent, complex mechatronic systems. You will be instrumental in validating product performance, mitigating developmental risks, and validating control strategies from the initial conceptual design phase through to final virtual validation., * System Modeling & Simulation: Build dynamic, time-dependent 1D multi-physics system models using Simcenter Amesim to evaluate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, and electrical domains.

  • Performance Optimization: Analyze transient system-level interactions and convert raw engineering data into optimized energy flows, thermal efficiencies, and mechanical motions.
  • Control Strategy Validation: Support virtual commissioning and verify controller logic by co-simulating Amesim models with control packages like MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Manage open-environment interfaces using FMI (Functional Mock-up Interface) and Modelica to connect 1D models with 3D CAE software (e.g., Simcenter STAR-CCM+) and PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Prototype Reduction: Use virtual testing data to guide physical design cycles, aiming to balance system performance and successfully reduce physical prototype iterations., Job Opportunity: Field Service Controls Engineer with Fameccanica North America in West Chester, OH Ready to launch your career in automation, controls, and robotics?
