Job description

Job Summary: Embedded Software Engineer - Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, Join Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control as an Embedded Software Engineer in Orlando, FL. As a vital contributor to our real-time embedded systems, you will collaborate on mission-critical technology that shapes defense solutions worldwide. Experience every phase of the software lifecycle in a collaborative, innovative environment, working a 4/10A schedule (Monday-Thursday, first shift) for enhanced work-life balance., Design, develop, and implement real-time embedded software solutions for advanced defense systems

Conduct requirements analysis, code development, integration, and formal qualification testing
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust and reliable software
Test and troubleshoot embedded software, ensuring high quality and system performance
Document software designs and technical processes for long-term maintainability

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (accredited institution)

Minimum 6 years of real-time embedded software development experience
Proficient in C++ (version 11 or newer) for embedded systems
On-site availability in Orlando, FL; 4/10A first-shift schedule

Preferred Skills

Multi-threading, multi-core, and multi-processing development expertise
Embedded software and hardware integration and test experience
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with GoogleTest or similar unit test tools
