IBM MQ / ACE Middleware Engineer

You will collaborate with talented developers and infrastructure experts to ensure seamless messaging, robust integrations, and reliable data exchanges across the organization. This role offers growth opportunities in integration architecture, automation, and hands-on infrastructure enhancement, all within a supportive, mission-driven work environment., Build, configure, and maintain IBM MQ environments, including queue managers, queues, and channels to ensure reliable application connectivity

• Support IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) environments, managing integration nodes, servers, and runtime configurations
• Enhance system observability by implementing effective monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Troubleshoot complex messaging, integration, and connectivity challenges in partnership with application and infrastructure teams
• Manage and renew certificates, ensuring secure messaging connections and compliance with security standards
• Plan and execute software upgrades for IBM MQ and ACE, including server maintenance and coordination with internal stakeholders
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and actual recovery activities to ensure operational resilience
• Provide support during scheduled maintenance windows, including weekend and on-call rotations as required
• Document technical processes, administration steps, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
• Occasionally support ACE development and deployment, applying knowledge of integration architecture and design

Proven experience administering IBM MQ in enterprise environments

• Strong troubleshooting skills in messaging infrastructure, connectivity, and certificate management
• Working knowledge of IBM ACE components and ACE Toolkit
• Understanding of integration development and architecture concepts
• Background in production support, monitoring, upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance
• Effective collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to support weekend maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation
