Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a client in the banking sector, to support the delivery and continuous improvement of data solutions within a regulatory reporting environment. Your Job

• Design, build and optimize data pipelines and processing solutions.
• Develop and maintain data products using PySpark, Python and Databricks.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and automated testing practices.
• Support data orchestration and integration workflows using Azure technologies.
• Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews and quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and fellow engineers to deliver business and regulatory requirements.
• Coach less experienced team members and contribute to the team’s technical growth.

• Extensive experience as a Data Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in PySpark, Python, and Databricks.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and deployment automation.
• Proven ability to improve data platforms, influence technical decisions, and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.
