Job description
Staff vacancy for an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and drive the technology strategy of a complex, growing E&P business in Aberdeen. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the enterprise architecture vision, influencing business and technology decisions at the highest level while ensuring systems, data and infrastructure are fit for the future.
Working across a varied stakeholder landscape, you’ll translate business goals into clear technology roadmaps, provide architectural leadership across key transformation initiatives, and ensure technology investments deliver long-term value, resilience and security.
Main duties and responsibilities
You’ll play a pivotal role in:
- Defining and leading enterprise architecture strategy and standards.
- Shaping technology roadmaps across applications, data, cloud, integration and infrastructure.
- Providing governance and technical assurance for major change programmes.
- Influencing senior stakeholders and guiding strategic technology decisions.
- Leading and developing a team of architecture and technology specialists.
- Managing technology risk, resilience, security and compliance considerations.
- Building strong relationships with external technology partners and suppliers.

Requirements
- Proven experience in an Enterprise Architect or senior architecture leadership role.
- Broad technical knowledge spanning enterprise applications, cloud, data, integration and infrastructure.

Experience developing enterprise technology strategies and governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Previous people leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Knowledge of recognised architecture frameworks such as TOGAF (or equivalent experience)., * You’ll work in a collaborative environment where strategic thinking, technical expertise and strong leadership are highly valued.
