Requirements

  • Experience enabling engineering teams to adopt and apply standards, policies and technical frameworks that promote consistency, compliance and engineering excellence across multiple disciplines.
  • Significant experience of using and administering source code management systems such as GitLab, including the development, maintenance and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Significant experience of developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Configuration as Code (CaC) using Ansible. Experience of CloudFormation is desirable.
  • Significant experience of administering and supporting Linux operating systems, including RHEL and Debian, within enterprise scale environments.
  • Significant experience of working within Service and Delivery Management frameworks, including ITIL practices such as Incident, Problem and Change Management, alongside Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Significant experience of leading, coaching and developing engineers and technical teams, providing technical direction, building capability, and driving the adoption of engineering standards and best practices to deliver high quality outcomes.

You and your role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll help build and support the cloud platforms that keep critical services running. You’ll work with teams across the organisation to migrate and modernise their Ansible and GitLab environments, automate repetitive tasks, improve reliability and performance, and solve complex technical challenges before they impact users.
