Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled DB2 Administrator (DBA) to provide technical leadership and operational support across enterprise database platforms spanning both legacy and modern technology environments. This role requires deep expertise in IBM DB2 for z/OS, DB2 LUW, and Microsoft SQL Server, with exposure to modern cloud-based data platforms and data modernization initiatives., * Provide senior-level administration and operational support for IBM DB2 for z/OS, IBM DB2 LUW, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based database platforms. \n

  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, and maintain enterprise database environments. \n

  • Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and performance across supported platforms. \n

  • Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. \n

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience supporting mission-critical, high-volume transactional systems while helping guide the evolution of enterprise data platforms toward cloud-native and analytics-driven architectures, including PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and BigQuery., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. \n

  • 10+ years of enterprise database administration experience. \n

  • Strong hands-on experience administering IBM DB2 for z/OS. \n

  • IBM DB2 for z/OS architecture and administration. \n

  • Experience with DB2 utilities including REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, RECOVER, LOAD, and UNLOAD. \n

  • SQL performance tuning and access path analysis. \n

  • Working knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and COBOL application environments. \n

  • Extensive experience with DB2 LUW include database configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting. \n

  • Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server including installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup and restore, security and access management, production support, and troubleshooting. \n

  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze complex workloads and optimize performance. \n

  • Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical transactional systems. \n

Compensation and Benefits

\n

The salary range for this position is $125,000-175,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
