Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer

• Install work area outlets for floor or wall by terminating CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks.
• Mount face plates and surface mount boxes accurately.
• Build and organize closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as needed.
• Complete IDC connections, such as terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels.
• Perform and troubleshoot continuity tests on horizontal and riser cables using volt-ohmmeters.
• Identify active voice or data circuits.
• Lead the crew for effective project performance, providing necessary training and coordinating personnel and timelines.

We are seeking an Entry Level Tech 1 for a promising opportunity to become part of a multi-year project. This role is ideal for individuals with construction experience and a passion for low voltage electrical work. The position offers a chance to grow within the team and requires dedication to quality and safety standards., * OSHA 10 certification

• Strong ability to pull and terminate copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6).
• 2+ years experience in pulling fiber.
• 2+ years experience in cable termination.
• 2+ years experience using Versiv Two Tester or Fluke tester.
• 2+ years experience in IDF uplinks and cable patching.
• Experience in terminating keystone jacks and modular plugs (RJ45).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical or low voltage cabling is a plus.
