Join our team of transportation engineering professionals and advance your career leading impactful roadway projects for state DOTs, counties, and municipalities. As a Roadway Engineer, PE, you’ll apply your technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, from study and design through plan production, while mentoring developing staff and taking ownership of quality, schedule, and budget. You’ll collaborate with engineers and leaders across the firm, engage directly with clients, and represent the firm at industry events, positioning yourself for continued growth and leadership opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the study, design, and production of roadway and transportation projects for public agencies including state DOTs, counties, and municipalities
  • Develop roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian design layouts, models, plan sheets, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with engineers and leaders across the firm on project pursuits and technical challenges
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for developing staff
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery
  • Represent the firm at client meetings and professional society events such as APWA and ASCE

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 4 - 10 years of related roadway design experience for state and municipal transportation clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation or OpenRoads
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others
