Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer for a top medical device client. This candidate will lead the design and development of enterprise reporting and analytics applications used by healthcare professionals to improve clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across the full stack with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and SQL, while also contributing to architecture decisions, code quality initiatives, and technical mentorship. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to build scalable products, influence engineering best practices, and work with cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools in a growing healthcare technology environment. Design and build full-stack reporting applications Develop APIs and database-driven features Create analytics dashboards and automated reports Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions Maintain code quality, testing, and application security Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance Leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency and workflows
Requirements
- Extensive experience building production web applications in TypeScript with React and the Next.js App Router, including server components, server actions, middleware, and server-side rendering. * Strong working knowledge of Node.js, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS, and JSON, and of component libraries such as MUI. * Automated testing of front-end code with Jest and React Testing Library, including raising coverage on code that shipped without it. * Practical understanding of web authentication and session security: JWT, SSO and SAML, HttpOnly cookies, CORS, safe redirect handling, and secure coding. * Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude, including practical experience applying Skills, context engineering, and evals to deliver reliable results. * Solid SQL experience, including writing and tuning queries against a relational database; MS SQL Server and stored procedures are an advantage. * Proficiency in software lifecycle processes, code review, and source control, with excellent communication skills, strong initiative and self-direction, and the ability to deliver against tight deadlines.
Education * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience. Desired Skills * Experience in medical devices or another regulated sector. This is helpful but not required, and training will be provided. * Experience working through an ORM as well as hand-written SQL is desired. * Internationalization with i18next, third-party UI components such as AG-Grid and TanStack Query, and shared-package or monorepo development. * Experience building analytics, data visualization, or clinical reporting products. * Dependency and vulnerability management in a regulated setting: npm audit remediation, SBOM generation, and SOUP review. * Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, EU MDR 2017/745, FDA QSR, and HIPAA/GDPR data handling, and with .NET/C# and the Atlassian toolchain.
