Job description

SUMMARY: To support the Career and Technical Education ( CTE) program and gather data to review the results of the program., 1. Assist in the implementation of student information systems.

  1. Conduct follow-up placement survey on all graduates that completed a CTE program.
  2. Translate detailed program specifications into appropriate computer language code.
  3. Coordinate installation and maintenance of programming projects with appropriate user and staff personnel.
  4. Report status and progress of assigned tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
  5. Work on multiple platforms, in multiple programming languages, with understanding of network operation.
  6. Work with multiple departments and schools within the district.
  7. Provide documentation and training to users and staff as directed.
  8. Visit CTE programs at each High School campus to conduct tracking of all CTE inventory and maintain the Dysart Unified School District CTE Inventory database.
  9. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
  10. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • BA/BS degree in computer services or related field or certificate of completion of technical training in programming preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with and supporting student information systems in an Arizona school district setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of job acquired knowledge.
  • Familiar with business processes involved with Infinite Campus - SIS and information systems and general information technology procedures.
  • Knowledge of student information systems Infinite Campus - SIS
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Infinite Campus - SIS and Vocational Education preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Demonstrated competency in computer literacy, Excel and Word

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals.
  • Ability to write general correspondence and speak effectively with others.

Math Ability:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms.
  • Ability to apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.

  • The employee may be required to conduct surveys in the evening.
