Job description

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure across office, data center, cloud, and remote environments.

This position will support routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, network security, and cloud networking. The ideal candidate has strong Cisco networking fundamentals combined with experience supporting modern firewall, cloud, and software-defined networking technologies., * Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.

  • Manage routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Support Cisco and/or Meraki network environments.
  • Administer next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet.
  • Monitor network availability, bandwidth, latency, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex network outages and connectivity issues.
  • Manage site-to-site and remote-access VPN connectivity.
  • Support network segmentation and Zero Trust security initiatives.
  • Assist with Azure and/or AWS cloud networking.
  • Implement network upgrades, migrations, and hardware refresh projects.
  • Maintain network diagrams, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Network Engineering or Network Administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, VLANs, and subnetting.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Cisco Meraki.
  • Understanding of BGP, OSPF, STP, and other common networking protocols.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls.
  • Experience supporting wireless networking.
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Understanding of network security principles and segmentation.
