Job description

At Silencer Central, we believe in being customer-oriented, getting stuff done, and expecting excellence in everything we do. The AI Solutions Engineer designs, develops, integrates, and supports practical artificial intelligence solutions that improve business processes, software delivery, employee productivity, and customer experience. This role works across Technology and business teams to identify suitable AI opportunities and turn approved use cases into secure, reliable, and measurable solutions. The position emphasizes applied AI, workflow automation, enterprise integration, and responsible implementation rather than training foundation models from scratch. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI-enabled applications, copilots, agents, and workflow automations from approved requirements through production support.
  • Partner with product owners, business systems analysts, developers, quality assurance, enterprise architecture, security, and business stakeholders to define problems, assess feasibility, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications and data sources using secure APIs, connectors, middleware, event-driven patterns, and approved Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections where appropriate.
  • Build solutions using technologies such as Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Python, C#, JavaScript or TypeScript, and cloud-based application services.
  • Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, prompt workflows, semantic search, embeddings, and vector-based retrieval when appropriate to the use case.
  • Create AI-assisted automations for software development, quality assurance, documentation, application support, incident triage, knowledge retrieval, and other approved business processes.
  • Apply secure development practices, least-privilege access, data-classification requirements, privacy controls, logging, monitoring, and human approval checkpoints to AI solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, solution diagrams, configuration records, support procedures, test plans, evaluation criteria, and operational runbooks.
  • Evaluate solution quality using defined measures such as accuracy, groundedness, task completion, rework, cycle time, adoption, cost, and business benefit.
  • Monitor deployed solutions for reliability, security, cost, model or prompt drift, and unintended outcomes; troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements.
  • Use Git-based repositories and Azure DevOps or GitHub workflows for source control, work-item tracking, pull requests, peer review, testing, release management, and deployment documentation.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, change management, AI governance, vendor assessments, and technology evaluations.
  • Support pilots and proofs of concept while helping establish reusable patterns, standards, and guardrails for responsible AI adoption.
  • Stay current on applied AI capabilities and recommend practical improvements aligned with business priorities, security requirements, and the Technology roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development, automation, integration, or cloud application experience.
  • Hands-on experience building or integrating AI-enabled applications using commercial models, cloud AI services, copilots, agents, or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, securing, and troubleshooting REST APIs, web services, application integrations, and data flows.
  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft development tools is preferred, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
  • Working knowledge of generative AI concepts including prompts, grounding, RAG, embeddings, vector search, context management, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Experience with SQL, structured and unstructured data, authentication and authorization, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and cloud deployment practices.
  • Ability to evaluate third-party AI capabilities and integrate approved vendor solutions while considering security, privacy, cost, supportability, and business value.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as NetSuite, Celigo, Microsoft 365, ecommerce systems, customer portals, or similar business applications is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to recognize when a non-AI solution is more suitable.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across business and Technology teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, seek feedback, participate in peer reviews, and contribute to team, departmental, and corporate goals.

Preferred Experience

  • Applied AI solutions supporting software development, QA automation, enterprise architecture, application support, knowledge management, or business process automation.
  • Copilot or agent development, orchestration frameworks, MCP-based integrations, prompt and model evaluation, or AI observability.
  • CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, secure software development, and production support.
  • Working in a regulated, high-compliance, ecommerce, retail, manufacturing, or fulfillment environment.
