Job description

  • Plan, implement, execute, and document system and subsystem integration and testing.
  • Develop test solutions that meet customer requirements while balancing technical, schedule, and cost considerations.
  • Translate system and contractual requirements into effective test strategies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test procedures, and test schedules.
  • Support integration of hardware and software components and troubleshoot interface issues.
  • Define system inputs, outputs, test parameters, and expected results.
  • Perform verification and validation testing, including regression testing following software or hardware changes.
  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports documenting system and subsystem performance.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot discrepancies between expected and actual results.
  • Develop discrepancy reports and support corrective actions.
  • Work closely with engineering, program, and cross-functional teams to coordinate testing activities.
  • Support milestone completion and help keep multiple technical activities on schedule.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, status reports, and project plans.
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office to develop status reports, project plans, work instructions, and other technical documentation.
  • 5+ years of hands-on LabVIEW experience, including writing, editing, and supporting existing LabVIEW code.
  • 3+ years of experience with NI TestStand, including writing, editing, and supporting existing test software.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and resolving technical problems.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively as part of cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and independently deliver results.
  • Experience contributing to or leading teams toward technical milestones.
  • Active Secret Clearance required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience testing RF or microwave systems and subsystems.
  • Experience developing complex automated test programs using NI TestStand.
  • Experience measuring electrical parameters for electronic components and subassemblies.
  • Experience designing or specifying components for test equipment and automated test systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate problems to the test instrument, fixture, software, or unit under test (UUT).
  • Experience creating block diagrams, assembly sketches, parts lists, and other engineering documentation.
  • Experience with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Experience deriving test requirements from design- or system-level requirements.
  • Ability to identify and document discrepancies between engineering drawings and actual hardware.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across engineering organizations.
  • Experience preparing technical presentations, charts, trade studies, or other materials to communicate technical issues and solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled engineer with strong experience in LabVIEW, NI TestStand, systems integration, verification and validation, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
