Job description

An early-stage fintech startup is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This role will focus on building and scaling customer-facing applications, internal platforms, and backend services that support core business operations.

The ideal candidate has strong experience across the full stack, particularly with React and Node.js, and brings a quality-first mindset to software development. This position is well suited for an engineer who enjoys both building new features and ensuring applications are thoroughly tested, reliable, and production-ready. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications and platform features.
  • Build and maintain frontend applications using React and backend services using Node.js.
  • Develop and execute automated testing strategies across web applications.
  • Create and maintain end-to-end test suites using Playwright and Selenium.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Experience building and supporting production web applications.
  • Significant experience with automated testing and quality engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
  • Experience writing and maintaining end-to-end, integration, and regression tests.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and modern web architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Exposure to application security and compliance best practices., Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
