  • Develop, validate, and improve statistical, machine learning, and generative AI solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Apply large language models and natural language processing techniques to extract, structure, and summarize information from clinical documents.
  • Evaluate model performance and help monitor solution quality, reliability, and effectiveness in production.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, product managers, and clinical partners to implement AI solutions.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and technical documentation that clearly communicate findings and solution performance.
  • Apply CVS Health policies, regulatory requirements, and responsible AI standards throughout the model development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Experience using Python and SQL to analyze data and solve analytical problems.
  • Experience applying statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, or generative AI techniques.
  • Experience communicating analytical findings through documentation, visualizations, or presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare, clinical, claims, or other sensitive data.
  • Experience analyzing unstructured text with large language models.
  • Experience with cloud-based data and AI platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with tools such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataproc, or Cloud Composer.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team and work through technical problems with guidance.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.

Master’s degree preferred.
