To enhance our successful OT Applications Team in Leoben, Austria, we are looking for a passionateAutomation & Integration Systems EngineerIn your role, you will act as a Specialist OT BUILD AES, ensuring the efficient operation, continuous improvement, and strategic development of IT systems within the OT (Operational Technology) domain. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of hardware and software solutions while supporting business objectives through innovative technologies. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will drive domain-level strategies, enhance system performance, and ensure seamless integration and value creation across manufacturing environments.

Your ResponsibilitiesEngage with key users to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable IT/OT solutionsDefine, document, and maintain domain-specific processes, policies, and standardsSupport and lead IT projects and domain initiatives from planning through successful executionCustomize and optimize existing OT systems to meet operational needs and improve efficiencyProvide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to key users and stakeholdersAnalyze complex technical issues and deliver effective, sustainable solutionsGenerate reports and insights to support informed decision-makingDrive continuous improvement by evaluating and implementing new technologies and best practicesYour ProfileBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification with at least 3 years of relevant experienceStrong expertise in OT systems, IoT, factory automation, and L2-L3 system integrationExperience with MES systems, ideally Critical Manufacturing (Connect IoT certification is a plus)Knowledge of automation protocols such as SECS/GEM, OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and TCP/IPSolid knowledge in TypeScript, C#, and good knowledge of T-SQL and database conceptsFamiliarity with agile development methodologies and software lifecycle managementStrong communication skills in EnglishTeam-oriented mindset with intercultural competence and a proactive, solution-driven approachOur OfferA meaningful role with opportunities for long-term growth in an international environment Chance to actively contribute to AT&S success and to create value A structured and tailor-made onboarding program along with continual training opportunitiesModern company canteen with freshly prepared meals every dayFree parking spaces and e-charging stationsDiverse health measures and a wide range of employee benefitsReady for a new challenge to advance your career?
