The Express Road Development Manager is responsible for leading the strategic growth, operational development, and performance optimization of the express road segment within the organization. This role focuses on expanding market presence, improving service efficiency, building carrier partnerships, and ensuring profitability across regional and national networks. The ideal candidate combines strong logistics knowledge, business development expertise, and operational leadership to scale an agile, time-critical transportation solution., 1. Business Development & Strategy

• Develop and execute a growth strategy for the express van division.
• Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and service lanes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with sales teams to drive revenue growth and account expansion.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.

1. Carrier & Fleet Network Development * Source, onboard, and manage independent owner-operators and fleet partners. * Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level expectations. * Ensure capacity availability to meet customer demand. * Implement performance standards and compliance requirements.

2. Operational Performance Management * Optimize routing, dispatch efficiency, and load planning. * Monitor KPIs including on-time performance, utilization rates, and cost per mile. * Develop continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity. * Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

3. Team Leadership * Lead and develop dispatch, operations, and support staff. * Establish clear performance metrics and accountability standards. * Foster a culture of customer service excellence and operational reliability.
