Job description

  • Business Partnering & Challenge: Partner with P&C to shape requirements into the right solution, matching needs to Workday capability and knowing when to push back.
  • Solution Design & Delivery: Design, configure and test complex HCM changes (weighing ROI, user experience and ongoing maintenance) through to deployment and deliver bi-annual releases.
  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Own our reporting suite; from reports and dashboards used by P&C and the business to board-level MI, and data quality audits.
  • Team Enablement: Coach our HCM Analyst, peer-review configuration, and help shape best practice and our roadmap.
  • Documentation & Change Governance: Keep project and change documentation (requirements, design decisions, test evidence and user guides) audit-ready and easy to hand over., * Think Big: Help shape our Workday HCM roadmap and how the platform supports our people strategy.
  • Own It: Be the trusted senior expert who leads complex changes and challenges with confidence.
  • Keep it Simple: Turn complex configuration and data into simple, usable insight.
  • Better Together: Work alongside the Tech Lead and wider Workday team, and partner with P&C.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Got up to speed with our Workday configuration and reporting suite.
  • Built strong relationships across P&C
  • Independently led a complex configuration or reporting change through to release.
  • Started knowledge sharing and contributing to the team roadmap.

Requirements

  • Workday Expertise: 5+ years’ hands-on Workday HCM configuration across multiple modules, owning complex changes and release cycles end to end.
  • Functional Depth: Hands-on experience in UK Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking; depth in one or more is valued.
  • Global Rollouts: Experience deploying Workday to new countries and brands, and/or working in a multi-national or complex Workday tenant (e.g. with many companies and brands)
  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Advanced and matrix reports, dashboards and board-level MI, with a meticulous approach to data accuracy
  • Senior Stakeholder Communication: Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, challenging requirements constructively and explaining trade-offs clearly.
  • Team Leadership: Experience coaching junior colleagues while delivering independently.
